I'm generally not a fan of hand-coloured prints, but that is only because the technique of so often abused and used to produced awful pseudo-nostalgic sentimental images. This is not the case with the fine photographs of Californian photographer Saelon Renkes. Her work transcends all the negative stereotypes I have about hand colouring and makes me a believer.
