When I orginally posted reader Tobias Slater-Hunt's website a couple of weeks ago, the volume of traffic almost immediately paralyzed his original webhost. This means the vast majority of you never got to see his work. The good news is, he's gotten a new host and the site's back up and running so I'm re-posting this so you can see this terrific collection of photos of alternative circus performers.

Part fashion photographer, part documentarian, Canadian photographer Nico Stinghe occupies a space somewhere between Nan Goldin and Terry Richardson. Like them, his images are often nasty and decadent and the subjects of his photos look like true degenerates. Nonetheless the images are unfailingly interesting.

Wow! Believe it or not, this is Art Nudes blog post number 1000. We've come a long way from the first post back on February 16th, 2003. Since then 1,977,240 unique visitors have checked this blog out. That number should hit 2 million before the end of the month. Thanks to all of you visitors. I especially enjoy receiving emails and getting comments from readers, that's what keeps me going.

The Team

Although this blog was conceived by and is still primarily run by Michael Barnes I receive an awful lot of invaluable help and moral support from the following fine folks.

Mariana Pinheiro is a Portuguese blogger and good friend. Although she doesn't actually do posts on the blog, she sends me the links to nearly half the content that gets posted here. Thanks Mariana!

Eric Kellerman is a photographer and university professor living in the Netherlands. He posts links here from time to time, and often haunts the comments section providing pointed critiques. He has a very sensitive bullsh*t detector, and isn't shy about telling me when a link I post sets it off!

Brooks Ayola retired from being a contributing editor a couple months ago. He runs a successful photography business in Los Angeles and his second child was born just last month, so he doesn't have time to post on other people's blogs anymore. Nonetheless, much of the look of this site is due to his help with the html, so he'll always have a place in the Art Nudes hall of fame.

So thanks again to all our loyal readers and to all our link partners who keep sending us traffic. Especially Indie Nudes who have continually been our biggest referrer for the past three years.

John Santerineross is a master of the spooky gothic erotica style. He has also got one of the best websites I've seen in a long time. I only wish the images were larger.
