There are a lot of talented photographers out there, but very few of them produce work that truly enters into the realm of the sublime. Arno Rafael Minkkinen is one of those few. In my opinion, there isn't a photographer alive that produces images of the nude in the environment as good as Minkkinen's. Don't miss the work of this master.

French photographer Joseph Auquier wrote and directed me to his website. Frankly, I'm not crazy about the wild colour manipulation on several of his galleries, but much of his other work is well worth checking out.

Here's another of the talented readers of the blog. German photographer Matthias Peter.

Considering what a populous country India is, I see very few photographers there doing nudes. However, when I do find one, I usually really enjoy it. David De Souza is a good example. He is a professional photographer based in Mumbai, India, and he produces beautiful images.

If anyone knows any other photographers from India I should check out, let me know in the comments.

Here's an interesting blog that I've bookmarked recently. Letra Corrida is in Portuguese, but the pictures do the talking. The webmaster, Jose features an interesting mix of photography and classical paintings. Since I've been looking at alegorical paintings for years trying to figure how interpret some of those themes into my work, I was glad to hear about this site. Sooner or later I'm definitely doing my own version of The Judgement of Paris!

I'm getting lots of traffic today from FHM Magazine Lithuania. If you are arriving here from there, welcome!

If anyone can translate what the link says about this blog, please let me know in the comments.

Thank you to all of you who wrote nice comments or emailed me about the recent passing of our beloved cat Suze. Your thoughts are appreciated. However, I've removed the post so I can look at this blog again without getting misty-eyed. Look for more great photography soon.

Thanks,
Michael

There is lots of variety to be found in the work of Latvian photographer Natasha Gudermane.

(Warning: People without a high speed modem may want to pass on this one, as there are over a hundred images on a single page.)

Thanks to Elena for this link.

Ever since I visited the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, I've been thinking about how to incorporate classical themes and allegory into my work. Therefore, I was delighted to discover the work of Dutch photographer, Luc ten Klooster.
