American photographer Patrick Alt uses large format and ultra large format 18” X 22” mammoth plate cameras to produce silver and platinum print nudes. It's frustrating seeing them in such low rez webformat, I bet this prints are incredible in real life.

Jordan Matter

I honestly don't know what to make of New York photographer Jordan Matter's series "Uncovered". He's a pro, and the images have technical merit. He also has a stated political agenda and has received national press coverage, but... is it art or the perfect meeting of exhibitionists and voyeur? Please feel free to comment.

Here's a great link for anyone who's ever spent time trying to explain f-stops, shutter speed and ISO to a non-photographer. This "virtual camera" demonstrates the variables and how a scene will look with different settings. I wish my mother-in-law had a computer so I could send her this link. Of course, then I'd have to teach her to use a computer...
