Max Sauco
The bizarre surrealistic scenes created by Russian Max Sauco blur the lines between photography and illustration so much that I struggled with whether to post this or not. In the end, the incredible creativity of the images won out.

Thank you JJ for the link.
Christophe Vermare
I selected this image from his blog because he's holding a copy of NUDE magazine. As previously mentioned, the Winter Issue features an interview with me about this blog, and a couple of my photos as well. This is a good opportunity to remind you that pre-ordering for a reduced rate ends on February 7th, and they tend to sell out, so if you want a copy, you may want to grab one now.

Dmitry Chapala
I've said it before, but I think there's something special going on in the Russian nude photography scene. Photographer Dmitry Chapala helps prove my point.

Carrie Leigh's NUDE Magazine
Not only am I a fan of Carrie Leigh's Nude magazine for the good work they do promoting fine art nude photographers in the print world, I'm also proud to announce that they recently interviewed me for their Winter 2010 issue. The article is entitled "The Power Bloggers" and features interviews with myself and three others. I'm also very pleased that they will be including one or two of my photographs with the article.
The issue hits the news stands February 15th, but you can pre-order from their website now and save a good percentage off the shelf price.

Carrie Leigh
From modeling for some of the true giants in the field to becoming an internationally collected photographer in her own right, Carrie Leigh has had an exceptional career in the fine art nude field.
Even more impressive, she's also the master-mind behind the excellent, Carrie Leigh's NUDE magazine, the only print periodical that is fully dedicated to fine art nude photography. Putting my blog together sometimes feels like a big job. Launching an internationally distributed magazine is mind boggling!
Her magazine has done a lot to help nude photography gain legitimacy in the broader art market and to promote photographers working in this field, so I am delighted to feature her work here.

Richard Griffin
Here's an extensive portfolio of traditional film and darkroom work by American photographer Richard Griffin.

Richard also wrote in to let us know about his newly minted blog Amelie D'Arcy Nudes which is dedicated to solely to images his taken with his favourite model dating back to the early 1990s. (That's Amelie in the photo above.)

American photographer Neil Craver takes the underwater nude out of the swimming pool and into a kind of scary old rock quarry in the Rock Quarry Nudes series which can be found under "Projects" on his website.

New Features for 2010
2010 has brought a few changes here at Art Nudes, hopefully all good ones.
The first change is an updated version of blogger that I'm still getting a handle on. It allows a few new tricks and presents a few challenges too. Visible changes to you the reader should be few and far between, although I'm happy to hear from you if anything looks weird or doesn't function properly.
The second, more visible change is in the Comments. I've been using an ancient version of the Haloscan commenting system since the original blogger didn't allow comments back in the stone age (2003) when I first started this site. Now Haloscan has become obsolete and has been bought up and replaced by the Echo comment system. Although I now have to pay a nominal fee, the new system has a more contemporary look and has a number of new features such as allowing you to subscribe to comment feeds, format your posts and even add images. Please give it a try and let me know what you think!
Happy New Years to you all!

I was excited to hear about F-eleven a new book that is being published via Blurb. This looks like a really excellent collection of some of the luminaries of the contemporary nude photography scene, including several friends and favourites of this blog.
As if getting a book with this much great content wasn't enough, proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Friends Without a Border a charity committed to improving the health and well being of the children of Cambodia by providing quality medical care, extensive outreach and crucial medical education through Angkor Hospital for Children.
Check out this link for ordering information and an extensive preview of the book's contents.
