The German fine art nude website Art-photo-akt.de is hosting a creative workshop series administered by Jean Jacques Andre. Currently, workshop one is "Developing an Idea". Members submit their photos in thematic categories and JJ will provides a brief (and surprisingly gentle) critique. The submitted images so far represent a fairly good range of images and skill levels. I encourage you to check it out and perhaps even sign up for free and join in.

Here is British photographer Stephen Rogers' work. I find that I prefer the images that aren't so heavily digitally manipulated. Mind you, this is coming from someone who still shoots film and prints his own black and white in a chemical darkroom, so I'm a bit biased, (or hopelessly old-fashioned as the case may be.)

Well everyone, I'm off on the road till next week, but in the meantime I wanted to announce that a winner has been selected for the 2nd Anniversary contest.

Earlier this evening, I wrote the names of the entrants on slips of paper and placed them into one of my film developing cannisters, shook them up and then had my lovely & talented assistant Yvonne draw a name.

And the winner is... Mariana!
