The Golden Fluffies

Richard & Lin of Fluffytek wrote me this morning to announce that they have awarded the second annual "Golden Fluffies" for excellence in nude photoblogging. The awards cover two categories; photographers who blog about their work, and models who who blog about theirs. (Maybe next year they'll add a category for photographers who blog about other photographers...) Anyway, the winners this years are a real "who's who" of the internet fine art nude photo community. Check it out for some links to some terrific work.

Richard and Lin have been great supporters of this blog, and of nude photography on the internet. Thanks you two for all you do!

The "Painting with Light" technique provides a unique look to images with a soft smoky light and a mysterious feel. I usually end my photo sessions with a few of these shots as a nice wind down for both model and photographer, and they often end up being some of my favourites. Therefore, I thought I'd share the simple set up I use for this and a couple helpful hints.

I recently discovered Nuexpo.com, a French online magazine that features portfolios and interviews with photographers and models who specialize in fine art nudes. It seems to be a high quality sight, and you certainly don't need to read French to be able to appreciate all the photography.
