ERIC KELLERMAN PHOTOGRAPHY

I want to take this opportunity to send a huge congratulations to Art Nudes' own Eric Kellerman.

Eric has just won the Gold Award in the category Nude/Body in Black & White Magazine's Single Image competition 2007. Altogether, 830 entries and 5493 images were received, so with 16 categories, that makes nearly 350 photos per category. All the winners will appear in a Special Issue of B&W Mag at the end of November.

The winning photo is the one accompanying this post.

This new site looks like it could have some potential. I'm always happy to see sites that provide free exposure for artists. This one appears to be a hybrid of several different popular web galleries, critique sites and social network sites. He's the description from the email I received from the creator.

I've built a community site called Artbreak for artists to share and sell their work. It's free to sign up and to share your work on the site. If you sell your work, there is a 7.5% commission, other than that there are no fees or charges. I'd like to invite you to come check it out, and if you like it to show some of your work there.

You can think of it as a free web portfolio of your work, but it's really a social site: People can leave compliments for artists, send messages, add friends, and vote for their favorite art. It's just getting off the ground, and already an incredible community of artists from all over the world is really coming together on the site. The feedback of the early adopters is shaping Artbreak's direction and personality, so if you do check it out, please send any feedback or ideas my way.

Claudia Kunin Gallery

Amazing work by American photographer/digital artist Claudia Kunin. If you have any of those red & blue 3-D glasses, dig them out and enjoy these images even more.

Exceedingly accomplished in her lighting technique, as well as digital skills. Kunin shoots the models and backdrops and then assembles them in Photoshop.

My only complaint is the tiny images on the website. There's so much going on in these artworks, I'd love a better look!

Nude Window, 100 Windows 100 Stories

Here's an ambitious project that's still in it's infancy. It'll be interesting to track this and see where it goes.

nude window is a photographic depiction of 100 people in their own environment telling a short story that pertains to their own lives. No clothing is worn to disguise who they are, No shades or curtains are drawn to hide them from the world. 100 windows, 100 stories. M. Carle
